Anonymous question about Dover fire alarm 0 Jan 27 2011, 10:36 AM EST by Anonymous

I grew up in Dover in the 1950s and '60s. As I remember, the fire alarm would sound every day at 12 noon and again at 9 pm from the Central Fire Station on Broadway. can anyone tell me when the alarm sounding was discontinued and for what reason? thanks.

There used to be shanties or shacks where Mineral Park is now. Any information would be appreciated, such as when and how it began and where there might be pictures of this group
of shacks. It probably began during the Great Depression. Pat Kraft - kraftypat@netzero.net and
